The snack bar is a friendly place where you can take a little gourmet break in the dining room or on the terrace during your holidays in St Vaast la Hougue. Open at weekends from June and every day in July and August, it is the ideal place to rest, relax and break from everyday life in your 4-star campsite in the Cotentin region.

You will find in this space various services to facilitate your holidays in Normandy campsite: snacking, bar, bread deposit, books, magazines, card and board games at your disposal (book exchange possible), television, billiards…

Some animations punctuate the summer season and take place in the snack bar room, musical and dance evenings, shows or lotto and bingo, come and share friendly moments that will leave you with nice memories of your holidays at the campsite La Gallouette.


How do you start the day well when you are on holiday? With fresh bread and pastries straight from the ovens of the baker in St Vaast!

In high season, the Manche campsite also offers a continental breakfast served in the snack bar. For more information, please contact the reception of the Normandy campsite.

Don’t forget to order your bread, baguette, croissants… or your breakfast formula the day before at the reception of your campsite.


On the menu: cheese burgers, pizzas, grilled meats (grilled meats from La Trappe de Bricquebec) and fish and chips accompanied by chips or salads.

You can enjoy our dishes “on the spot” and make your holidays easier:

  • and why not facing the sea, on the Saint Vaast la Hougue dam, 100 metres from the Cotentin campsite?

To cool off during the hottest hours of the summer: ice creams and sundaes, sorbets, sundaes…


A first necessity grocery store is at your disposal at the Manche La Gallouette campsite (coffee, preserves, condiments, drinks, cleaning and hygiene products, charcoal…) and also offers bottles of ice and ice cube bags for campers.

It is also the ideal place to crack for small sweets and discover local specialities: Caramels d’Isigny, financiers and Normandy biscuits from the biscuit factory in Sortosville en Baumont, a small village on the road to Barneville Carteret, apple jelly, cider and Normandy calvados from the Commanderie farm in Grosville south of Cherbourg. And to finish with some local Chinquante beer*, brewed in Saint Vaast la Hougue, only a few meters from the campsite! Perfect, if you want to bring back little souvenirs of your holidays in the Cotentin region.

The grocery shop is open every day in July/August and on request in the low season, don’t hesitate to turn to the campsite reception team for access.
