To do so, take the amphibious boat from Saint Vaast and go to the maritime museum on the island of Tatihou. There you will discover permanent and temporary exhibitions related to the history of Saint Vaast la Hougue, various animations and remains of the naval battles of la Hougue and Barfleur. But above all, as you walk through the museum, you will find the marine restoration hangar which restores old riggings emblematic of the Cotentin region.
Between jigs, naval carpentry instruments and fishing gear, discover the singular history of the Sainte Thérèse Souvenez-Vous tailpiece built in Barfleur in 1948. Thanks to a footbridge fitted out to allow you to contemplate the ship, admire the know-how of the naval carpenters who built this unit but also that of those who restored it. The Sainte Thérèse Souvenez-vous is an emblematic boat of rope fishing in the Val de Saire.
