1. Your campsite near the beach
Two beautiful family beaches labeled “blue flag” located 400m from the campsite will delight children and fans of swimming and idleness: the beach of Hougue, near the Fort de la Hougue and Vauban Tower and the small beach at the exit of the port on the road of Réville. Guests can also explore the long Jonville Beach, 4 km from the campsite, which offers a great view of Tatihou Island.
2. The port of Saint-Vaast a stone’s throw away, a lively seaside atmosphere!
The city center and the port are located 300 m from the campsite. The market is held every Saturday morning on the port. The port of St Vaast where yachting and professional fishing mixes make it one of the most beautiful ports of the department. The disembarkation of the boats makes it a popular place for the walk and feeds the curiosity.
3. Fishing and angling for a holiday very iodized!
Lovers of fishing on foot will find happiness in the rocks that are discovered at low tide. Anglers can satiate their passion on the big pier.
4. The Sailing School to learn about navigation and board sports!
On the marina, the sailing school will welcome you. You can do catamaran, dinghy or windsurfing.
5. A pedestrian path and a health trail along the coast to get fresh air!
The campsite La Gallouette is located in the cove of Cul de Loup from which rises the tower of Hougue. This natural site, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a part of the Bay of la Manche, very popular with local shellfishers. It is the ideal starting point for beautiful walks or cycling between the Hougue road and the shore of Morsalines. You can admire all the riches of the marine environment: a rich and varied marine fauna and flora, herbus, islets, rocks, pebble beach, channels … In the north, a small area of wet meadows completes the whole.
A fitness trail runs along the campsite to the tower of La Hougue. On your return, you will take the dike that will take you back to the port of St Vaast, passing by the chapel of the seamen and the large pier to the marina.
